“I love Clare and I respect Clare enough to let her know how I feel, even if it goes against everyone’s expectations, and it’s going to take time,” he said. “I wanted nothing more than to make this relationship work, and I put my heart and soul into it every day. And I wanted nothing more than to build a healthy relationship.

Clare and Dale had only been together a few months after getting engaged The bachelorette mid-season, the producers replacing Clare with Tayshia Adams (who is now engaged to Zac Clark!).

The quick timing of it all would have helped Dale and Clare “take time apart” which resulted in a total breakup. Since the breakup, rumors of cheating about Dale have also emerged. Although he did not recognize them directly, the woman he was accused of cheating with quickly denied them, calling them “blatant lies”.

“I finally feel comfortable here after having had time to deal with everything that is going on. I know you’ve all seen me smile on social media and say that I don’t seem so hurt or overwhelmed by this. But that’s the furthest thing – like, this time sucks. Thank goodness I have the friends and family that I have because they literally had to carry me through the past two plus weeks.

Building a relationship, in general, is difficult, especially when you are doing it in the public eye. People will spread lies or always want to point fingers, but the point is, there is no one to blame in this situation. Like any relationship, we’ve had our ups and downs and you know we’ve been through our affairs, but you know the statements that came out – like, it didn’t come out of nowhere.

I love Clare and respect Clare enough to let her know how I feel, even if it goes against everyone’s expectations, and it’s going to take time. I wanted nothing more than to make this relationship work, and I put my heart and soul into it every day. And I wanted nothing more than to build a healthy relationship.

Although it is difficult, what you will see for me is trying to practice what I preach and continue to do my best every day.
