But Moss recently announced the engagement is over and posted videos to the Instastory portion of his verified Instagram account on Monday, claiming he finally felt “comfortable getting here after having had time to process everything. what was happening”.

“I know a lot of you have seen me smile on social media and say that I don’t seem so hurt or overwhelmed by this, but it’s the furthest thing,” he said. “This time it sucks.”

The former footballer thanked his friends and family for helping him through this difficult time and highlighted the challenges of such a public relationship.

“The media will take things and run with them. People will spread lies or always want to point fingers,” Moss said. “But the point is, there is no one to blame in this situation.”

He said her relationship with Crawley had its “ups and downs” and he appeared to refute her earlier claim that she became aware of their split along with the audience.

“The statements that were made did not come out of nowhere,” he said. “I love Clare and I respect Clare enough to let her know how I feel, even if it goes against everyone’s expectations.

Crawley previously posted a statement on his verified Instagram account that read, “I was made aware of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time you were all, so I needed some time to really digest this.

“Speaking for myself, my intentions with this relationship have always been very clear, so the truth is I’m crushed,” the statement read. “It wasn’t what I expected or hoped for and I’m still trying to deal with it.”

In his video, Moss said he was in pain and insisted he was invested in building a healthy relationship with Crawley.

“Even though it is going to be difficult, what you will see from me is to try to practice what I preach and to continue to do my best every day,” he said. “While trying to find a sense of normalcy, I will also try to find joy and happiness each day and continue to share that. Everything else is in the hands of God.”
