Kellen Moore will remain with the Dallas Cowboys, as the club announced a multi-year extension with the offensive coordinator.
Moore’s deal with Dallas was set to expire after this season, and his alma mater, Boise State, sued him to be his head coach.
Moore said in a statement released by the Cowboys that he was “very excited” to stay with the team.
“I love Boise State. I will always support them, and I hope to someday be a part of the program again,” said Moore. “We are building something special here in Dallas. I am grateful to the Jones family and Mike McCarthy for giving me the opportunity to coach these special players. I am delighted that we can put everything together and complete the job.”
Moore, 32, has been the Cowboys offensive coordinator since 2019. The Boise State job was opened last month when Bryan Harsin moved to take over as head coach at Auburn, replacing licensee Gus Malzahn.
In last weekend’s home win over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys racked up 513 total yards on offense, eclipsing 500 yards for the fourth time this season, tying for the most in league history. team with the 1978, 1966 and 2019 offenses.
Dallas also had three passes from over 50 yards against the Eagles, the most by an NFL team this season. In the last three games, the Cowboys offense has contributed 94 of Dallas’ 108 points.
