Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas chairman Robert Kaplan will retire on October 8 following embarrassing revelations earlier this month about unusual business activity.
“Unfortunately, the recent focus on my financial disclosure may become a distraction,” Kaplan said in an emailed statement from the Dallas Fed. “For this reason, I decided to retire.
