A black restaurant owner took on a section of mostly black women after one of them got up at their booth and twerked … and now he’s being dragged AND cheered, while defending his actions.
The incident happened at a joint called TRUE Kitchen + Kocktails – it opened just 5 months ago – when the owner, Kevin kelley, says several women got up and danced in their chairs against a glass wall.
Kevin just didn’t have it and decided to let everyone in the restaurant know his ground rules, which several people have recorded. You see him walking towards one of the twerkers and stopping him.
The excuses are that if a restaurant doesn’t want customers to jump on furniture and squirm against walls, they shouldn’t serve alcohol or play music.
It’s actually said … by adults.
(Look at this ridiculous behavior)

Another video shows him lecturing women in that section of the restaurant … which many haven’t dug. He said he didn’t want to see this type of behavior in his establishment, and that if they don’t like it … get out.

Now, we spoke to Kevin on “TMZ Live” on Monday, and insisted on exactly what he had a problem with – the twerk, in general … or the fact that it was happening in his building? He insisted it was the latter, noting that there was a time and place for this type of dance.
However, look at what he says about the “classy and nice black women” in his restaurant because that’s at the heart of the backlash – the twerking insinuation doesn’t fit that description … for him.

You can watch and judge for yourself, but to make a long story short – his tone wasn’t suitable for a lot of people who experience REAL vibrant music, serving alcohol and promoting themselves as clubs make him ripe for dancing. .
Kevin apologized for using profanity during his speech, but he sticks to the twerk.
