Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was back on the training ground on Friday, but it’s still unclear if he’ll be on the pitch on Sunday.
Cook has been listed as questionable to play due to the ankle injury which has been bothering him for several weeks. He missed Week 3 and played a limited role in the Vikings’ Week 4 loss to the Browns.
Head coach Mike Zimmer told his press conference that Cook was feeling better after free time, but he is not ready to call about his availability for the game against the Lions.
The Vikings ruled out defensive tackle Michael Pierce (elbow) and wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette (toe) were ruled out.
