PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – Against all odds, the Portland Trail Blazers forced the seventh game of their series against the Denver Nuggets.
The match will take place on Mother's Day. Some Rip City fans might change their plans for the holidays.
Gina Johnson is one of them. She is part of the center of Moda and has even been called to rush into the field after a big game.
"I'm here to represent and be their biggest fan," said Johnson. "Win, lose or draw, I'm always happy."
Johnson is more than a fan, she is a mom. She is the mother of Damian Lillard, to be exact.
"Damian, he's always been that person who wants to come out winning. He will not give up. "
And, like any mother, Johnson's face lights up when she talks about her son. A day after her team won the sixth game against the Nuggets, she spoke at FOX 12 about the obstacles the Blazers have overcome this season.
"They played through the wounds. It's just a lot. I am very proud of them, be it in both cases, "said Johnson at FOX 12." He [Lillard] does not feel well, but he plays really well. "
Before being nicknamed "Dame Dolla", Johnson said her son gave him many reasons to be proud. She remembers moments when she watched him speak to the church.

Dame's mother said she was usually close to CJ McCollum's mother and the two men would be in the playoff game Sunday at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
"We are going to watch them win," she said.
A nice gift for Mother's Day, even if Johnson admits it, the timing of the game may not be ideal for some moms.
"I think a lot of them will have to split Mother's Day with the basketball game," said Johnson.
His advice to these moms from Rip City: "Spend a blessed day, no matter what you do, because if they are with you or away from you, I'm sure they love you." "I know my son likes me."
The Blazers will play at 12:30 Sunday.
