Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White recently warned all “motherfu * kers” planning to illegally broadcast UFC 257 – and any other pay-per-view (PPV) events in 2021 – Jan. 23, claiming he has a special surprise for them once he catches them driving dirty.
And there will likely be more hackers on the internet hoping to find a free stream after ESPN raises the cost of UFC PPV events by an additional $ 5, taking the price to $ 69.99. Yet White redoubles his threat by saying that these “criminals” will be reduced to crying and begging whoever he goes with them.
“We have been one of the leagues that have been so proactive on hacking,” White said in an interview with TheMacLife. (transcribed by MMA Junkie). “I love the cool, tough way these guys act on social media because – let me tell you what, we caught a lot of people. Let me tell you what they do: they cry. They’re crying, and they’re begging not to be sued and all that other stuff, ”White said before revealing that the promotion recently overcame a big hurdle in its endless fight against illegal streaming.
“We’ve just passed a huge hurdle in the hacking world, and we’re going to catch some of these guys in 2021, and I can’t wait to cry and beg. We’ll see how tough they are when they get caught.
Of course, UFC 257 will feature the highly anticipated return of Conor McGregor as he takes on Dustin Poirier for the right to fight for the promotion’s Lightweight title. In the co-main event, Michael Chandler will face Dan Hooker in another crucial 155-pound showdown.
