Season 30 of Dancing with the stars is almost here, but some people aren’t sure if they’ll tune into the ABC contest show this year.
Before the milestone season, DWTS announced her full cast for 2021 on September 8, which includes celebrities like The speech co-host Amanda kloots, Empire bling Star Christine chiu, Olympic gold medalist gymnast Suni Lee and NBA star Iman Shumpert, among others. Later the same day the list was revealed, the show posted its first promo on Instagram and Twitter, and fans weren’t thrilled with what they saw.
In a 30 second video, host Tyra Banks is glamorous in a plum purple dress and statement headpiece. “You don’t have to be a fortune teller to know that the new cast of Dancing will blow your mind, ”she said while holding an animated disco ball. The 47-year-old former model then officially shared the Dancing with the stars to throw.
While many fans got excited after seeing the promo, others expressed disappointment and frustration. From what we understand, many still haven’t forgotten that the former co-hosts Tom bergeron and Erin Andrews were fired from the show last summer. Tyra was then named the show’s first solo host and given an executive producer role.
“Bring back Tom and Erin… they were a great team !!! One person wrote. “Why Tara [sic.] thinks she has to change her dresses so many times..the shows are not about her, but the dancers..sad! Added another.
Other fans shared a similar sentiment on another promo with a photo of Tyra. In it, she is looking directly at the camera while striking a pose. “Look, I didn’t like last season. I don’t know most of the so-called stars. I really REALLY miss Tom and Erin. And I didn’t like Tyra at all. The show doesn’t work for me and I’ve watched all the episodes since day one. Very sad, ” a subscriber commented.
That said, there are still plenty of viewers eager to watch the new season. The season 30 premiere of Dancing with the stars will finally reveal which professional dancers and celebrities are paired. And then the competition will really start to heat up.
