Dancing With The Stars Pros Have New Rule To Follow As Filming Begins Amid The Pandemic

You’d think of all the shows that could take a break during a pandemic, Dancing with the stars would be at the top of the list.

You would think, but you are wrong. The ABC reality TV series, which puts professional dancers and famous amateur dancers on live television every week, is persisting despite the coronavirus outbreak with new rules in place that mean big changes for pros and stars involved – especially for pros who are married to each other.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, all pros will have to live separately from each other for the duration of the season and will not be able to have any physical interaction. This includes those who are married, such as Emma Slater and Sasha farber, which appeared on Hello america after the announcement of the list of pros.

“It’s gonna be happiness – I mean, it’s gonna be terrible,” Slater joked. “It will be so different because we can’t actually interact and even prepare with each other, which is something completely different, but we’re doing everything we can to keep it safe.

Slater said there will be “a lot of FaceTiming,” and she will be moving out of the house.

In their official statement on Bergeron’s release, ABC and BBC Studios promised “a new creative direction” for the series, which we’ll see when Dancing with the stars returns to ABC on September 14.
