MADISON, Wisconsin (WMTV) – The Dane County Clerk’s Office has completed its presidential election recount, but has not certified the results.

County Clerk Scott McDonell tweeted on Saturday that the recount had been done, but said they still needed time to reconcile some constituency information and prepare the data for certification.

McDonell says the process should take a few hours. The board will meet at the Monona terrace on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. to complete and certify.

As of Saturday morning, the county had only one riding to count and had passed over 222,000 ballots.

The official deadline for Dane County to complete certification is Tuesday, December 1.

In Milwaukee County, officials completed their presidential recount on Friday, certifying their election results and uncovering no cases of fraud.

TMJ4 reports that there are 65 ballots missing in the city of Milwaukee, but the canvassing council has voted to continue certifying the results without the ballots.

County Clerk George Christenson has stated that from now on, those ballots will not be counted. These missing ballots are the only remaining votes out of a total of 460,000 ballots in Milwaukee County.

President Trump tweeted on Saturday afternoon that he would take a case involving “people who voted illegally” after the recount. Twitter flagged the president’s tweet with a message that the election fraud allegations are disputed.

President Trump and his campaign have challenged tens of thousands of ballots, issued through in-person mail ballots or by voters who are incarcerated indefinitely. These objections were dismissed by the Dane County and Milwaukee canvassing councils.
