Matt Amodio continued his “Jeopardy!” winning streak on Monday, breaking another record in the show’s history.
The doctoral student from New Haven, Connecticut, closed last week’s gameplay with a milestone when he toppled James Holzhauer as the candidate with the second-most winning streak in the history of the emission. With 33 wins back then – 35 now – Amodio is officially second behind Ken Jennings, who still has a 74-win lead.

Amodio closed the show on Tuesday with an incredibly risky Final Jeopardy bet that ultimately landed him the highest total single-day winnings in “Jeopardy!” the story.
