The Giants continue to say that Eli Manning remains the starting quarterback. Daniel Jones continues to believe that this decision is difficult.

Jones plays again in the pre-season tonight, taking over from Manning after a series and giving the impression that he perfectly masters the offensive. At half-time, Jones is 9-in-11 for 141 yards.

By all indications, all Giants decision makers – owner John Mara, general manager Dave Gettleman and coach Pat Shurmur – are on the same page as Manning is the starting quarterback and Jones will evolve better in the long run if he has a little time to learn while watching Manning from the sideline.

But how long it can last remains to be seen. Jones' impressive pre-season could put a lot of pressure on Manning to play well early in the season, otherwise he could lose his first job and not get it back.
