A little over a month ago, Blumhouse Productions confirmed two more suites in the Halloween continuing the narrative arc that writers Danny McBride and David Gordon Green created in 2018 Halloween. Thanks to a recent interview, we now have an idea of when the production will begin the first episode of this sequel. Kill Halloween.
McBride sits with Polygon to discuss Precious gems and his previous HBO projects To the east and to the bottom and Vice principles. The interview finally focused on the genre of horror, where McBride was asked about the current status of the franchise. McBride replied:
"Halloween 2 starts filming in about three weeks. It's already gone for shopping. The script is almost finished for the third. Hopefully this will happen at the same time next year. "

Other sources claim that production will start on September 13, in about four weeks. In both cases, plans seem to be set for the upcoming McBride / Green film of the Michael Myers / Laurie Strode saga. Green returns to make the next two films and co-write the suites with McBride. Jamie Lee Curtis will continue to embody her iconic character Strode and find her teammates Judy Greer and Andi Matichak.
Kill Halloween is scheduled for October 16, 2020. The final chapter of the McBride / Green collaboration, Halloween ends, is scheduled for October 15, 2021. The next HBO series from McBride, Precious gems, will air on Sunday, August 18th and will be available in streaming on HBO Go and HBO Now apps.
