Cox’s casting follows rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were in the process of returning to the websling world with the former still in talks, along with Kirsten Dunst’s Mary-Jane Watson, Jamie Foxx’s Doctor Octopus from Electro and Alfred Molina from both franchises and the latest news comes in the wake of Marvel boss Kevin Feige claiming that every Marvel character in the world of Netflix is ​​now on the line to make their way to the big screen.

While the villains have both been confirmed for the film, reports continue to say if any of the former Spider-Men are confirmed and it is likely that no confirmation will be given by Marvel Studios until production ends on the project.
