Darius Rucker provided an update on ex-girlfriend and actress Kate Quigley’s health after her accidental overdose.
“You know, she’s doing great. She’s doing it,” Rucker told People magazine at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Friday. “I’m glad she’s doing this.”
Quigley was hospitalized earlier this month after suffering an accidental overdose. The alleged fentanyl overdose has left three other people, comedians Fuquan Johnson and Enrico Colangeli as well as a friend Natalie Williamson. The group allegedly used cocaine with the addition of fentanyl at a party in Venice, California.
“Hi, I love bugs. – I was off my phone for a few days and probably will for a while,” Quigley, 39, wrote on Twitter after the incident.

“I am still healing physically and mentally,” she continued. “But reading all the positive messages from you makes me cry tonight. Thank you. So grateful for the support and love. You have no idea how much this helps.”
Rucker and Quigley dated throughout 2020. The country music singer also commented on the situation right after it happened.

“My heart goes out to all the other victims, but [Quigley] is fine, ”Ruckus said at the time.
