Dark mode is moving to Google Assistant and Google app

Excellent news for Android users because Google brings the much anticipated dark theme to more apps. This time, the Google app and its Google assistant are updated with a dark mode, but in recent weeks, the search giant has proposed this feature to a handful of applications.

Although this is not the first time that Google app uses a dark theme, only some users have received the update adding the new feature a few months ago. In addition, the feature was incomplete because the dark theme only applied to a few screens of the Google application, reports XDA Developers.

As of today, Google has launched a broader deployment of dark mode for Google app. Several Reddit users have recently confirmed that the dark theme of the Google app had been activated by the search giant without having to update the application via Google Play Store.

The same goes for Google Assistant, now easier to watch with the new dark mode. The updates appear to be delivered to Android phones running Android 10 and Android 9.0 Pie, but we have not yet managed to identify any model.
