Darksiders III is finally heading to Nintendo Switch next month, THQ Nordic has announced.
After initially launching on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2018, the game – a sequel to Darksiders II – will launch on Nintendo’s platform on September 30, 2021. In addition to the digital edition, it is also being processed for a physical outlet, arriving at select retail stores the same day.
Players return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action-adventure game where players take on the role of FURY in his quest to hunt down and eliminate the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls on FURY to fight from the heights of Heaven to the depths of Hell in a quest to restore the balance between good and evil and prove that she is the fiercest of the FOUR HORSES.
FURY is a mage, her form evolves throughout the gameplay and with her, her powers and her weapons. The vast world of Darksiders III game is presented as an open, living, free-form planet Earth, dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. FURY will traverse from environment to environment, battling otherworldly creatures and unlocking puzzles as you advance the story of Darksiders.
Our buddies at Push Square gave the PS4 version of the game a score of 6/10, praising its “great protagonist and undemanding combat systems”, but believing it to be “a step backwards from the other modern action games “available on the platform.
The Switch version will include both the Guardians of the Void and The crucible DLC as standard, and will be priced at € 39.99 / $ 39.99 / £ 34.99.
Excited for this one? Let us know at the usual place.
