The Houston Rockets are one of the most analytical NBA teams, but with the Golden State Warriors, the Rockets have abandoned their forward-thinking approach to complaining about the referees.
The Rockets audited Game 7 of the Western Conference final last year and judged the referees private with 81 missed calls or no calls. Remember that the Rockets have missed 27 consecutive 3 in this game.
Well, the Rockets do not plan to let their beef go with the Warriors or the referees.
Shortly after Warriors head coach Steve Kerr jokingly joked about James Harden's flop in the first game, Rockets GM Daryl Morey went to Twitter and posted a link to an article from Bleacher Report 2016 about Kerr who complains of having references.
The 2016 article stipulated that Kerr would be fined $ 25,000 for complaining about the disappearance of officials making calls while traveling. Even though Morey was trying to make it clear that the Warriors were also complaining about officializing, launching a link starting in 2016 did not really make the Rockets look less salty.
Kerr was asking officials to stop missing out on travel calls. The Rockets told the NBA that they had stolen a championship.
It was not really a situation of apple apples.
