Dates, format, prize pool, Twitch Drops and everything you need to know

One of the best games of any Fortnite season is the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS), where the best players from around the world compete for their share of a big prize pool and to be the best crowned player.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Season 5 FNCS tournament.

Appointment

The Fortnite Season 5 FNCS Tournament kicks off Thursday, February 4.

FNCS operates for 4 weeks every Thursday-Sunday.

The tournament will end on February 28 with the grand final.

Thursday is for the Middle East Open Qualifiers, while the rest of the Open Qualifiers will be on Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday, the top qualifying teams compete against each other to determine who will advance to the Grand Final.

Format

Epic Games have announced that the format of the FNCS in Season 5 and each FNCS in 2021 will be trios.

Which means teams of three will each compete against each other to become the best team in their region.

Live

On Saturday and Sunday, the Fortnite Beavers comment on the tournament on Twitch and YouTube.

Casters include Zeke, MonsterDFace, Sleep, Australian antiques, Reiss, and ShyoWager.

FNCS PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE – ALL WEATHER IN US-EAST (ET)

1:00 p.m. – Broadcast begins
1:15 p.m. – Live EU coverage
5:15 p.m. – NAE Live Coverage
8:30 p.m. – Approximate end

We can therefore expect a similar schedule this season as well.

Twitch Drops

Viewers on Twitch will be able to earn FNCS-themed Fortnite items, including a spray and an emoticon.

Make sure your Epic account is already linked to Twitch and that you are watching a channel compatible with drops.

Reward

The FNCS Season 4 prize pool was $ 5 million, shared across all regions.

The prize pool is expected to be similar this season as well.
