In the first week of its release, the free monster hunter game Intrepid has already reached the impressive course. More than 5 million players are already active in the game while they are looking for Behemoths, a considerable increase over the number of players who played at the previous launch of the game in a beta version on the PC. To cope with this success and welcome players, developer Phoenix Lab has strived to increase the player's ability while reducing the time players spend in the queue to try to play.

The most typical type of update you'll see from the same account recently is similar to the one below, in which Phoenix Labs keeps players up-to-date on work in progress. In its latest update on Saturday, the developer said the capacity and queue had been improved, and work was already underway to accommodate even more players.

Being free to play is obviously an important contributor in this number, so it will be interesting to see how the game will behave at this time next week. However, more and more players joined the group in the days following its launch. So it's not as if the record was reached earlier and showed signs of slowing down.
The game itself brings together different people who play Slayers and hunt Behemoths, like what you've found in a Monster Hunter game. Its aesthetic is, however, very different, but it looks more like Fortnite than the old.
