Coco was six when David and Courteney separated in 2010.
David Arquette has said he would like to apologize to his daughter Coco for her divorce from her mother, Courteney Cox.
During a long conversation with The Guardian, the “Scream” actor, 49, was asked, “Who would you most like to say sorry to, and why?”

“My daughter, Coco, because divorce is so difficult,” he replied.
Coco was just six when David and Courteney separated in 2010. Having met on the set of “Scream” in 1996, the couple married in 1999. They finalized their divorce in 2013.
Although David revealed that the separation from Courteney had turned out to be “so difficult”, the duo worked hard to be there for Coco.
“We are co-parents of our 16-year-old daughter, so we have a very good relationship,” he told People last August. “We are friends and we communicated a lot thanks to Coco.”

“There are difficult times, especially during adolescence,” he continued. “There are a lot of emotions and feelings. We just went through – not an easy time with that, we were just very open and supporting each other. So it’s made for a friendship and a relationship out of respect. “
Courteney appeared to co-sign the sentiment when she spoke with ET about the filming of “Scream 4” with her ex.
“The thing is, David and I love each other so much and we get along so well,” she explained at the time. “I love him so much. We are the closest friends.”
And when “Scream 5” was announced, David said he couldn’t wait to find Courteney.
“We always like to work together,” he told ET at the time. “She’s an amazing actress, so it will be fun to bring these characters back to life and see where they are at. Co-starring is the easy part.”
