Last Sunday, David Chang recently made what no other celebrity could do: He won the million dollar jackpot on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? And he did everything for charity. Every $ 1,000,000 goes to Southern Smoke Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on helping workers in the food and beverage industry.

Food and wine has the summary. Some of the questions he was asked were of course about food. One question asked him to identify the “clean plate club” and another asked which American restaurant chain is most popular in Japan at Christmas (KFC). Chang lived in Tokyo, so we had to be a softball. Fortunately, the KFC question was for a big one: $ 250,000.

But really, I know you all are wondering what his last question was because it’s the one that makes your heart beat faster and your palms sweat. Moreover, it is the question which makes the most shouting on television.

Here is the question: Although he and his wife never touched a switch for fear of being shocked, who was the first president to have electricity in the White House?

The picks were Ulysses S. Grant, Benjamin Harrison, Chester A. Arthur and Andrew Johnson. I know shit when it comes to history, and it seems Chang probably didn’t know the answer either, as he phoned his friend Mina Kimes, an ESPN reporter, who urged him to find the correct answer from Benjamin Harrison.

I went to high school with someone who was on the show, and dramatically flamed. It seems like a really stressful thing to participate in, with all that money at stake and the mental pressure on your face. (Luckily for Justin, they invited him back and he made some more money.) But Chang has kept his cool, and his winnings are going straight to a lot of people who really need help right now. .
