Concerts scheduled for the release of his David Lynch Festival of Disruption in New York have been canceled, as confirmed by a representative of the festival at Pitchfork. Shows scheduled for May 17th and 18th at Brooklyn Steel have been canceled and ticket holders will receive a refund. The pre-programmed projection of Mulholland Drive May 18 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg will continue as planned.
Garbage, Phoebe Bridgers, Wye Oak, and more had to happen. Yesterday (May 10), Brooklyn Vegan announced that the event had been canceled, stating that the festival and Bowery Presents had sent the following joint letter to the ticket holders:
We are sorry to announce that Brooklyn Steel's two concerts on May 17 and 18, in partnership with Festival of Disruption and The Bowery Presents, have been canceled for reasons beyond our control. The previously announced projection of Mulholland Drive May 18 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg is complete and will continue as planned. If you have purchased a 3-event pass, you will receive a refund of the price of both shows, plus the charge on your credit card statement, within 7 to 10 business days. Your original ticket for the screening will still be valid at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
