EXCLUSIVE: As Disney continues to work out what to do with the Fox properties acquired as part of the merger, one of the larger IPs, dead Pool, seems to be gaining momentum. Sources tell Deadline Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin will write Deadpool 3, with Ryan Reynolds set to reprise his role as a Marvel superhero.
Writers’ meetings have been held over the past month, and Reynolds recently sat down with a handful of writers to hear their arguments for the next episode. Ultimately, the studio and Reynolds saw the sisters’ take as the perfect fit for what they wanted. The film is still in its early stages, but hiring the Molyneux sisters marks the first major step towards securing the next one. dead Pool film in production.

This marks the first dead Pool movie where Marvel Studios will work hand in hand with Reynolds and Team Deadpool. Fans will certainly be excited about the involvement of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige after seeing how he helped revamp the Spider Man franchise after participating in the creative endeavor of this franchise.
Besides Reynolds’ return, there are plenty of factors being worked out, but sources say the film should still be rated R like the previous two. It should also have a new director; David Leitch, who helmed the second photo, has a full schedule until 2021. Insiders say the door is open for Leitch’s return as it’s unclear when this film will go into production, but given that he was not part of the Writer’s Search, seems unlikely for him to return for Part 3.
Either way, the progress of the film is sure to excite fans who were concerned about the film’s fate after the Fox / Disney merger which some believed meant the possible end of the franchise.
As for the Molyneux, they are sisters and writing partners, who are the creators, showrunners and executive producers of the new Fox series. The big North, which is slated for release in February and has already been renewed for a second season. In addition, they are longtime successful writers and executive producers. Bob’s Burgers on Fox, for which they won an Emmy in 2017, and have been nominated for an Emmy for eight consecutive years. They were also nominated for three WGA Awards and won the Annie Award in 2017 for their episode “The Hormone-iums”.
On the feature films side, they recently adapted the novel The people we hate at marriage for FilmNation and the famous video game The sims for Legendary. They also wrote Jump Street: now for fun for Sony Pictures.
Lizzie attended UC Berkeley and Wendy attended Pomona College. They both reside in the Los Angeles area with their spouses and scores of children and pets.
They are picked up by Kaplan / Perrone Entertainment and attorney Gregg Gellman.
