Deadpool, Scream & More in the new Google ad

Google has published an advertisement that introduces the Google Assistant program by adding it to movies such as dead Pool and Yell, to show how useful it would be for the characters in these films.

Google Assistant is a virtual assistant program with which you can communicate to give commands to compatible devices, including Google Home Hub and Google Home Mini, both of which appear in the ad. Google Assistant is comparable to Alexa and Siri in terms of functionality.

The new Google ad is promoting Google Assistant by adding it to scenes from different movies and showing how useful it would have been for the characters to have access to the program. Movie scenes used in #HeyGoogle advertising include David Bowman using Google Assistant to bypass Hal 2001: an odyssey of space, The character of Drew Barrymore in Yell using Google Home Hub to alert police to the fact that an attacker was outside his house, and Deadpool was seen recalling that he had to appear in an advertisement on Google.

Google Assistant advertising also includes Stu from The hangover instantly know everything that has happened the previous night by viewing the pictures on his Pixel 3 phone (to be honest, it's not that difficult to do it with a classic smartphone), Lady BirdChristine uses the Lyft app to call a taxi before getting out of the car to escape her mother. There is even a literal interpretation of the famous Cuba Gooding Jr. "Show me the money!"line (in the sense of Google Home Hub) in a scene of Jerry Maguire.

#HeyGoogle advertising has managed to record more than 11 million views in two days, which is a staggering feat and shows how powerful an ad can be when it plays nostalgia. It was the same for both Alone at home commercials, both of which have seen more than 30 million views since December. Smart advertising can intrigue you about a product while making you think, and that Google commercial manages to do so by proving how many movies could be completed in five minutes if the characters had just access to their devices.
