Dealmaster: Get a high-performance Vizio 4K 55-inch TV for under $ 600

Ars Technica

Greetings, Arsians! The Dealmaster is back with another series of business to share. The list of the day presents an interesting offer on Vizio's famous 4K P55-F1 television, currently at $ 598 at Walmart. This represents $ 100 off the current standard 55-inch overall price and the lowest price we've found for this specific model to date.

While this will keep the TV a bit more expensive than Roku's Roku TV 55-inch Roku TV, Vizio's main competition, the extra $ 70 could be worth it, given Vizio's apparent advantages in terms of picture quality. Although we do not review many TVs at Ars, various outlets have touted the P-Series for their excellent motion management (with its 120Hz refresh rate) and low input delay, which make it particularly well suited to games. It supports a wide range of colors and all necessary HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, and it can dynamically display this content with its high brightness and 56 local dimming zones (the model $ 1000 65-inch has 100 zones, but this should still be enough). The device itself also has five HDMI inputs and will soon support Apple's AirPlay 2 protocol, which should be a boon to iPhone users.

The big problem here is that this TV dates back to 2018. Vizio did not announce exact tracking of its P-Series TVs at CES earlier this year, but it will launch some new models soon, which helps to explain the price reduction now. The Vizio smart TV interface is not as useful as that of a Roku TV, and from the point of view of the picture, its viewing angles are not great. Like most smart TV manufacturers, Vizio also follows users' viewing habits for advertising purposes. Yet it is as well as operates the pricing cycle of television. And while the panel represents a much lower milestone than high-end televisions like LG's OLED TVs, it still represents good value at this price for those who are willing to pay for picture quality.

If you do not need a new TV, we also have offers on Amazon's Fire TV Stick 4K, Red Dead Redemption II, USB batteries, Lenovo Yoga laptops, etc. Look below.
