Dealmaster: save $ 340 on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon ultrabook

TechBargains

Greetings, Arsians! Thanks to our TechBargains friends, the Dealmaster is back with another series of deals to share. Today's list includes a discount on the current Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon notebook model of the current generation, which amounts to $ 1,063 at Lenovo with the code "THINKPRESDAY". And yes, the coupon must be capitalized for it to work.

Lenovo's on-site prices tend to fluctuate wildly, but the X1 Carbon typically costs around $ 1,400, a good discount of about $ 340. At the time of writing these lines, Lenovo is asking users to apply the code "THINKPRESIDENT", but the code above reduces the price by about $ 75. Why? No clue, but the Dealmaster does not complain.

As for the X1 Carbon, it's great. You can view our review for a complete overview, but in short, we said that it filled all the boxes needed for a high-end Ultrabook. This is not a convertible, and there is no 4K option, but it works well, has good battery life and has the necessary Thunderbolt 3 ports without leaving legacy ports such as USB-A or HDMI. It is thin enough (0.63 inches), light (2.49 pounds) and well made. His keyboard, typical ThinkPad, is excellent. Its big disadvantage is that it's relatively expensive, but it's obviously denied here.

This configuration includes a Kaby Lake Intel Core i5-8250U processor, a 14-inch 1080p display, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. It should be noted that Lenovo has announced a 7th Generation X1 Carbon, which will arrive in June and will bring updated Whiskey Lake chips, a new woven finish, a 4K configuration and updated speakers (one of the weakest elements of the current model). But that will start at $ 1,700, and as Whiskey Lake is not a leap forward from Kaby Lake, we believe the current model is still a good buy at this price for those looking for a premium laptop that can still work.

If you do not need a new laptop, we have a ton of other deals on Roku TVs, iPads, mesh routers, PC monitors, Fire 4K Fire TVs from Amazon, high-end video games and so much more. You can check the full summary below.
