A 6-year-old girl, originally from Georgia, was killed last week by her 4-year-old brother, who suffered an abnormal accident.
Millie Drew Kelly and her brother were in a car in the family's driveway in Dallas, Georgia. They were waiting Monday to leave for the boy's baseball game. Journal-Constitution reported.
That's when the boy discovered the gun in the center console. The mother was still outside the car when the child fired a fatal blow to the right side of his sister's head, according to the newspaper.
Millie, who was rushed to a hospital in the Atlanta area, died Wednesday.
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office said he would not file a complaint.
"It's a really sad situation," Sgt. Ashley Henson said Saturday. "Based on all the evidence and the situation as a whole, we felt that charges were not justified in this particular case."
A GoFundMe page created to help the Kelly family raised $ 34,935 in four days.
