Trevor Moore, the comedian, actor and producer who co-founded “The Whitest Kids U Know” comedy group, died in an accident on Friday. He was 41 years old.

Moore was born in Montclair, NJ and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. He developed an interest in writing from an early age, creating and publishing cartoons during his teenage years. At 19, he wrote and produced a comedy sketch for a local television station.

After moving to New York City in 1999, he interned with Lorne Michaels on “Saturday Night Live” and co-founded “The Whitest Kids U Know” with Zach Cregger, Sam Brown, Timmy Williams and Darren Trumeter. The group produced an eponymous sketch series for IFC that spanned five seasons. They have also directed two films together, “Miss March” and “The Civil War on Drugs”, along with an animated feature called “Mars” which is slated to premiere in 2022.

In addition to “The Whitest Kids U Know”, Moore began hosting “The Trevor Moore Show” on Comedy Central in 2019. He also co-created and produced the Disney Channel interactive comedy “Just Roll with It” and wrote and made Disney XD. “Walk the Prank” series.
