Death Stranding Director’s Cut is coming tomorrow, and not only are the reviews good, but it also looks like it’s a pretty impressive upgrade from a technical standpoint, offering solid performance, fast loading and more news. features on the PS5. Death Stranding Director’s Cut Review – I’ll Keep Coming

And hey, while we’re at it, here’s another review from ElAnalistaDeBits…

On PS5, Death Stranding Director’s Cut offers three graphics modes: performance, quality, and ultra-wide quality. Interestingly, all three are targeting 60fps, with performance of 1800p converted to 4K, native quality of 4k, and ultra-wide quality of 3840x1620p with a letterbox at the top and bottom of the screen. The Quality and Ultralarge modes seem to offer near-perfect performance at 60 fps, while the Quality mode usually hits that mark, with occasional drops through the mid-1950s during some cutscenes and intense combat scenarios. So yes, quite impressive!

As with other upgrades, some character models have received texture upgrades, but the environments are largely unchanged with texture filtering still being somewhat noticeable on PS5. Drawing distance, water, and foliage also received a few upgrades on PS5 (of course, it all looks a bit better on PC). Probably the most important upgrade is loading – on PS4 it took about a minute to get into the game, and now it only takes 6 seconds.

Of course, as mentioned, the technicalities are just one of the reasons to look into Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Wccftech’s Kai Powell found this to be a fun and original update to Kojima’s original in his full review…

By far the best way to build bridges across America, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is less the final cut one might expect from Kojima himself and more a collection of never-before-seen improvements to make it the best way to discover this unique title.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut launches tomorrow (September 24) on PC, PS4, and PS5.
