Death Stranding's new gameplay shows customization of Sam's wardrobe, bedroom and more

At the Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima presented Death Stranding fans with a 30-minute presentation on what you can do in Sam's room, as well as new details on customizing the bedroom and wardrobe. Sat.

The demo begins with Kojima leading the audience through some basic moves. As players, we do not really control Sam right now. We are more of a disembodied camera than Sam is aware of the classic style of Kojima, a fourth wall smashed. The camera bends down to linger over Sam's crotch and this one quickly shields her from sight, which could be a nod to Metal Gear Solid, where a similar animation occurs if the camera the player lingers on Meryl's body.

You can also view 59 items from the other long Death Stranding demo game during TGS.

Watch Sam's junk for too long and he will hit the camera. In addition, the camera is apparently BB, the strange baby in a jar that Sam carries in every corner of Death Stranding

images that we have seen, so that means that Sam is hitting a baby.

Sam is covered in dirt (we assume a mission), so Kojima guides Sam to the mirror in the bathroom and washes Sam's face. Sam is able to blow a raspberry in the mirror, which also takes selfies for fun pictures. The player can also rotate Sam in the mirror to see what his hair looks like.

The player may use the restroom in Sam's room, even though adult-only pictures are hidden behind an advertisement for Ride with Norman Reedus, an AMC travel show starring Reedus himself.

Sam's room is at least one place where you can customize a host of features, including Sam's appearance. The demo starts with loading Sam's weapons, but moves quickly to his backpack. The backpack seems to work much like the Resident Evil grid system, in which you are supposed to account for the physical space occupied by each element, playing a neat game of Tetris with objects of different shapes. Sam attaches two brown compartments, an envelope and some kind of energy pack.

Kojima then moves on to Sam's wardrobe. We take a closer look at the protective glasses and sunglasses that Sam can wear, both of which may change color. Kojima finishes a mix of white glasses with a brown and gold, and makes Sam's hat a bright red.

Sam's wardrobe is not the only thing you can color. Sam will also be able to customize the color of the walls of his room, with a large selection of colors. As in Metal Gear Solid V, Kojima's favorite music will also play a decisive role in the atmosphere. Kojima showed a list of music that Sam can activate in his room, with artists like Low Roar, Silent Poets and Gen Hoshino.

Sam can also blitz through a pack of six beers that he has seated on his table. This has not been confirmed, but it seems that Monster Energy can also be a drink that Sam can drink.

The demo ends with a brief sequence of Sam crossing the endless world of Death Stranding and finally relaxing at a hot spring with BB.

All that we have here is exactly what we have deduced from the Japanese version of the demo, so stay tuned to learn more about Death Stranding or listen to Podcast Beyond to explain why we're so excited about the idea of next match of Kojima.
