Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks unveiled a new trailer for the PlayStation 5 exclusive Deathloop Thursday at Sony’s State of Play online event.
The trailer is heavy on gaming action, set to a Sencit’s James Bond-style title track, feat. FJØRA. Freestyle pistol / knife combat backed by bizarre powers is only part of the picture Deathloop offer; Players can go through any of the game’s levels in any order they want, but the general idea is to figure out how to stop the game’s repetitive time loop.
“Ramblin ‘” Frank Spicer is one of the “visionaries” who seeks to stop the player. He also appears to be a DJ, sending us this long distance dedication of “Deja Vu” from Sencit.
Deathloop will be an exclusive console on PlayStation for the first year after its launch on May 21. (It will also launch on Windows PC.) Although Microsoft bought Bethesda in September, Phil Spencer said the company will still honor Bethesda’s timed exclusivity agreements with Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo on PlayStation 5.
