The first three episodes of WandaVision are now available to watch on Disney + and each focuses on a different era of television. The first episode was in the style of 1950s sitcoms and saw Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) host a dinner party for Vision boss Mr. Hart (Fred Melamed), and his wife Mrs. Hart ( Debra Jo Rupp). Recently, ComicBook.com had the chance to chat with Rupp about his time on the show. Although she appeared in the second episode of the show, she was not featured in the third. We were admittedly a bit disappointed considering that the last episode is in 1970s style, and Rupp is best known for playing Kitty Forman on This 70s show. However, the star explained why she’s not afraid to miss a throwback to the grooviest decade.
“I happened to look good in clothes from the 50s, unlike the 70s, so that was great for me,” Rupp said when asked about the show’s setting. We later guessed that she might have been relieved to skip the 1970s episode of WandaVision because of his distaste for clothes.
“These clothes, there is nothing attractive about them. And I also lived in the 70s. It never looked good to me. It’s like a whole decade that could disappear in the ‘ country of clothes’. Oh, I think if I had been part of the 70s episode it would’ve gotten you out of that. I think it was fine in the 50s, but I think it was. would have done… It’s a very good story and there are a lot of clues to it and that would have taken it away. If I had realized, I would have done the exact same thing. “
As for the rest of the season, fans can look forward to seeing Rupp again. “I think so,” Rupp replied when asked if Mrs. Hart would return. “Unless I’m edited, and you never know, that’s the fate of an actor. You never know. But I think.”
Did you hope to see Rupp in the 1970s episode of WandaVision? Tell us in the comments! Stay tuned for more from our interview with Rupp or watch the full video at the top of the page.
