The belongings of former NFL star and current Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders have been found told reporters that they were stolen from the locker room on Sunday Victory 53-0 on Edward Waters.
A school official said Nick niehaus from WAPT that the articles were found after Sanders’ press conference. Noah newman of WJTV said the personal effects were “found in his locker / office” and nothing was stolen.
Jackson State athletic director Ashely Robinson confirmed the recovery of the items to Ross Dellenger of Illustrated sports
“We’re going to find out who did it,” Sanders said at the time, noting that he had taken his wallet and cell phone.
He added that he was “pissed off” by the situation.
Sanders said it was the second time he had had his things stolen since becoming a head coach:

Since arriving in Jackson in December, this is the second time Deion Sanders has had property stolen. Someone stole a boombox from their car. Upon learning that it was Deion’s boom box, the person returned the property to him. “What happened today was malicious, a personal attack.”
Sunday was Sanders’ debut as a head coach. He was hired in September, but the school postponed his season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jackson State will play eight games in total this season.
He also had a pre-game surprise, as his former teammate Troy Aikman greeted him on the pitch:
“How do you think it feels to come back with tears in your eyes – guys just introduced me to the game ball, one of the best times I’ve ever had in my career – and you notice you don’t have no phone to call your mom, your girlfriend, your kids, because it was stolen, “he told reporters before the recovery of his property.
Jackson State will face Mississippi Valley State next weekend.
