Dell unveils first 40-inch ultra-wide monitor

Dell launched the world’s first 40-inch ultra-wide curved display for productivity and content creation tasks. The UltraSharp 40 Curved WUHD (U4021QW) display has a resolution of 5120 x 2160, so it is significantly larger than a regular 4K display, but not ridiculously wide like some gaming displays. At the same time, it can hold a Full 4K video (3840 x 2160), while still allowing you to display the controls of a video app on the side, for example.

The UltraSharp 40 “offers wide color coverage and excellent color performance,” although Dell hasn’t said anything about HDR, so it probably doesn’t support it. It also delivers 90W power charging for your PC via Thunderbolt 3, while also enabling fast data transfers with a super-fast 10Gbps USB and RJ45 internet connection. It will arrive on January 28, 2021 for $ 2,100.
