Demi Lovato reveals she feels freer and more authentic after cutting her long hair as she rocks the pink dye job and the plaid suit in Instagram snaps
She says her new short hair makes her feel “free”.
And on Monday, Demi Lovato shared backstage poses in which she wears a pink dye job and a pink plaid pantsuit that she wore for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Tagging professional photographer Angelo Kritikos, Lovato shared several photos on his Instagram.
The 28-year-old is back in the spotlight with her docu-series Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil.
In it, she details her near-fatal overdose of 2018 and her subsequent journey to sobriety.
Sitting down with DeGeneres on Monday, she explained how much freer and more genuine she felt since cutting her hair.
“ I feel like I’m hiding behind my hair, ” said Lovato, who confessed that she covered her body with her long locks when battling eating disorders.
“ When I started doing all this work on myself, I was like, ‘What have I kept my whole life that I have to give up? She explained of her decision to have her head cut.

Lovato also told DeGeneres that she hopes her docuseries will help people realize that they can overcome their “ deepest, darkest struggles. ”
She also said that another reason to tell her story was to “set the record straight”.
“ I just wanted to tell the world, ‘Hey, this is what happened, this is how I got out of it, and I hope that can help you too,’ ‘ she explained.
“Because this trip was a wild ride, but I learned so much and can’t wait to share it with the world.
The trailer that dropped last week shocked Lovato fans with her candid confession that she suffered ‘three strokes’ as a result of her overdose as well as a ‘heart attack’ that left him with “ brain damage. ”
As she continued to reflect on the life-changing incident and the effect it continued to have on herself, friends and family, Demi compared her resilience to that of a cat with nine lives.
“I have had a lot of lives, like my cat. You know, I’m in my ninth life, ”she said. “I’m ready to start doing what I love again, which is to make music.
