The Democrat who lost a House race to Iowa by just six votes gives up her challenge over the narrow victory of GOP Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks.

Rita Hart, a former state senator, said on Wednesday she was withdrawing her competition from the House administration committee, which she had asked to review the November election, arguing that around two dozen ballots vote had been incorrectly rejected by local officials and would have reversed the result.

“Despite our best efforts to make sure every vote is counted, the reality is that the toxic campaign of political disinformation to attack this constitutional revision of the closest congressional challenge in 100 years has effectively silenced the voices of the Iowans,” Hart said. in a press release.
