Democratic congressman criticizes Governor Cuomo for “cruel victory lap” after Justice Department announces nursing home investigation

New York Assembly member Ron Kim joined Janice Dean on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday to discuss the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division announcement that they had dropped the investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo’s role in a tenure that allowed COVID-positive patients to return to nursing homes. Kim, whose uncle died at a New York nursing home, called Cuomo a “dangerous” man and said more investigations were underway.

JANICE DEAN SLAMS CUOMO FOR DOJ’S SKIDBOARD SURVEY: HE “BLAME EVERYBODY” BUT HIMSELF

RON KIM: The Justice Department has closed the initial investigation – it appears to be – into the public facilities. which is a very small part of the entire nursing home industry. Thus, the civil investigation is still open for all retirement homes and the criminal investigation, more importantly, is still ongoing. For the governor to go onto the national media scene and take a victory lap and play the victim as thousands of families like Janice Dean’s and mine still seek the truth is what is cruel.

He will do whatever he has to say and do to save his people. He’s a dangerous drowning man.
