Democrats are pressuring Republican Georgia Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the final days before the run-off election, following the publication of a taped phone call in which President Trump urged the Secretary of State Georgia’s Brad Raffensperger to help him find enough votes to reverse the state’s result in the November presidential election.
At one point in the conversation, obtained by the Washington Post, Trump could be heard saying, “All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than us, because we won state. ” During the call, Trump insisted that he had won by the thousands and thousands of votes.

“It is a direct attack on our democracy and if David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler had a piece of steel in their spine, an ounce of integrity, they would be here to defend Georgian voters against this kind of aggression,” Perdue’s opponent, Jon Ossoff, said at a campaign event Sunday night.
At the same event, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris said Trump’s appeal sounded like “the voice of despair” and called it an “abuse of power.”
Loeffler’s opponent Raphael Warnock has challenged Loeffler on Twitter to speak out against the president, whom she has firmly supported throughout the election season.

“Georgia elected @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarrris. It’s a fact,” Warnock tweeted. “@KLoeffler has a responsibility to expose these unsubstantiated allegations of fraud, to defend the Georgian election and to put Georgia before itself. But she didn’t. And she never will.”
Fox News reached out to the Loeffler and Perdue campaigns for comment, but they did not immediately respond. Perdue answered the call during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Next Revolution” Sunday night.

“I don’t think it will affect our elections,” Perdue said. “I’m still shocked that a member of the Republican Party registers the incumbent president and then runs away from him. It’s disgusting in my opinion.”
Perdue added that what Trump said on the call was “no different from what he has been saying for two months.”
