Demon’s Souls players find that the PS5 automatically registers your mic

There is nothing better than the feeling of finally beating the boss of a Demon’s Souls. Just ask these gamers, who got their beat reactions to the powerful encounters automatically recorded via their PS5 microphone.

The PlayStation 5 has been around the world for just over a week and players are still getting used to their new hardware. Many players also continue to make their way through the notoriously difficult Demon Souls.

Ultimately, the PS5 has a new feature that not everyone is familiar with. Once you unlock an in-game trophy, the console will automatically capture your microphone alongside a video of the achievement.

So if you are saving your recent trophy, beware that your PS5 is listening to your audio as well. This leads to some hilarious clips from players not knowing they were being recorded.

Demon’s Souls players are registered on their PS5

In a new viral clip, a Reddit user by the name of helloiamjack showed off his recent Demon’s Souls experience. The video shows the conclusion of the player’s epic showdown with the Tower Knight.

The first boss is one of the first major difficulty peaks in Demon’s Souls and many players are looking for help online. So it does good to finally defeat him, especially for those uninitiated in the Dark Souls / Demon’s Souls franchise.

In fact, it was clearly so good that helloiamjack let out a victory cry that was secretly recorded by the PS5. The user even continues with a real warm laugh, the likes of which can only come from a great accomplishment.

But this user is not the only Demon’s Souls user to have experienced such joy. Just a day after the above clip toured online, another user posted regarding the find.

Beating the Souls of the Demon Flamelurker is a cause for celebration

According to Reddit user SCOUSETOMO2003, the following clip was taken after their 15th attempt to beat the Flamelurker. The iconic boss of Demon’s Souls is a pretty tough boss fight and deserves a proper celebration.

In the case of this Demon’s Souls player, the PS5 recorded the user screaming before taking a well-earned sip of beer. By listening to the audio, you can feel the accomplishment in the player’s sigh of satisfaction.

Of course, you can change the settings on the PS5 to make sure your device doesn’t save after each Trophy unlock. But we’d say it’s more fun to review your accomplishments with the microphone active.

If you want to save space on your PS5, it may be better to turn off Trophy videos completely. With limited space on the console’s hard drive, every little attempt to free up space can help.

While manipulating your system settings, we also recommend that you turn off PS5 rest mode. This is because PS5 rest mode is currently breaking consoles and Sony has yet to fix the issue.

And if you haven’t yet successfully purchased a new PlayStation, keep in mind that more PS5 stocks will be arriving before the end of the year.
