Hundreds of local stores have been closed as historic fallout from the winter storm continues to impact north Texas. Many large retailers urge customers to check store hours before leaving to stock up on supplies.

As of Monday afternoon, 424 Walmart stores had been closed across Texas and other states following the brutal winter storm, including dozens in north Texas.

All store closings can be found on their interactive map here.

“The safety of our associates and customers is our top priority. Walmart’s Emergency Operations Center monitors winter storms and other potential disasters in real time. We are assessing the condition of our facilities and will continue to operate as long as it is safe to do so, ”the company said in a statement.

Kroger said on its website that Dallas-area items would close at 8 p.m. Monday and plan to reopen late Tuesday, but remain open at 5 p.m. Monday night.

The closures can be found on the company’s website here.

Amazon also said on Monday that its deliveries were affected by the storm. Orders can be tracked as usual on www.amazon.com, but delays can be expected depending on the item and location of delivery.

Other large retailers, including Target and Albertsons stores, are scheduling modified hours based on the path of the storm and the impacts of the blackout.
