Thompson, who has signed an extension with the club before the 2017 campaign, is happy to meet Peterson with the team.
Finding the AP and having the CT is huge for my development as PRO in all its aspects

Derrius Guice, who missed his entire 2018 rookie season after recovering from an ACL tear during the pre-season, is in rehab and is ready to get to work with the veteran's longtime.
MORE NEWS FROM THE NFL
The Redskins need to improve their talent at the wide receiver. It's not a secret.
In addition to the free agent options available, the team is currently studying possible exchanges around the league, sources told NBC Sports Washington.
I always hear Redskins want to upgrade to the WR version. A source tells me that this is not confined to the free agency and that the team could look at the trades. I've heard "big splash" more than once.

The reports showed that the Redskins were active in the commercial market of Antonio Brown and, although they have not landed the former Steelers star, Washington is still looking for a possible big game.
This season, Jay Gruden and Doug Williams have both spoken of the need to add a receiver who can play outside of the offense.
Last May, at the NFL Scouting Combine, Gruden specifically mentioned the addition of another wide receiver: "If you're talking about this position, you're probably talking about a bigger guy."
Washington has the capital project to potentially work a deal.
The organization holds four choices in the top 100 selections, including two thirds. Washington also has a bunch of last-minute picks. Packed together, this could present an attractive offer to an interested team.
It is speculative to suggest some names that might become available elsewhere in the NFL, but keep in mind that the Giants exchanged Odell Beckham a year after signing a $ 90 million contract.
In this 2019 dead season, anything can happen.

Adrian Peterson will be back with the Redskins in 2019.
He signed Wednesday a two-year contract with Washington, worth $ 8 million, and will again Skins this season after accumulating more than 1,000 yards in 2018.
Peterson and the Redskins were looking for a possible comeback since the end of the 2018 season, a decision that makes sense to both sides.
Can confirm that Adrian Peterson has signed back with the Redskins. He just text me and seems to be leaving. @ JosinaAnderson had it first.

Derrius Guice is expected to return this year after the last preseason of an ACL injury, but he may have to regain his form. Peterson and Guice talked about working together with Chris Thompson and developing a violent attack in Washington.
Peterson instantly became a leader and a strong voice in the Redskins locker room. Seeing him on the full list of off-season activities and training camp should only add to his value.
This is the second big signing of the free agency by the Redskins. The first news came on Monday when the team signed a new six-year contract with Landon Collins.
Little business leaves both parties happy, but Peterson could be back in the Redskins.
