Despite promise to judge, woman accused of putting “Maderna” on vax card misses court date

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The woman who made headlines for allegedly using a fake misspelled vaccination card on a flight to Hawaii is in trouble again – this time for missing a court appearance.

Chloe Mrozak, 24, of Oak Lawn, Ill., Was scheduled to appear before a judge Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.

She did not appear in virtual court and a $ 500 arrest warrant was issued against her arrest in the state of Hawaii.

This latest development comes about three weeks after his first court hearing.

Earlier this month, she appeared before Judge Tracy Fukui via webcam while jailed in Honolulu. That’s when she promised she would follow through on any upcoming court dates.

“Ms. Mrozak, if this court releases you, will you make all your appearances in court? And you are allowed to zoom in,” Judge Fukui told her.

In response, Mrozak broke down in tears and said, “I promise, I promise. I’ll do whatever it takes. I swear I’m not a bad person.

She spent five days at the OCCC before being released.

Mrozak now faces two felony charges of breaking emergency rules as well as a charge of contempt of court when found.
