Destiny 2 adds a Buster Sword ornament for Izanagi’s Burden

The Burden of Izanagi is already one of the strangest aliens in Destiny 2. It is a sniper rifle that looks like a cross between a sword and an IUD. But with Season of the Chosen, Bungie added an exotic ornament that turns Izanagi’s Burden into Cloud’s Strife’s infamous Buster Sword. Final Fantasy 7 – or at least something similar.

Bungie has done silly things like this in the past. We have emotes that allow Guardians to merge as Dragon ball z, and a miniature sparrow that looks more like a Scooty Puff Jr. from Futurama than a Guardian space motorcycle. But the burden of Buster Sword Izanagi (called the Worldshaper ornament) made me cry with laughter the first time I saw it.

In the image above you can see the barrel replaced by a dark gray broadsword. The bezel sits just above a chain connecting the blade to the handle, which fits perfectly Final fantasyUnique zipper / chain mode. It doesn’t quite have the box-cutter shape of Buster Sword, but the chain makes the ornament a pretty clear homage in my opinion.

Izanagi’s Burden is a powerful sniper that allows Guardians to smash four bullets into one super powerful bullet. It is commonly used in some Destiny 2most difficult activities. But now Guardians can equip the new Buster Sword skin to make this already weird weapon even stranger.

It reigns supreme and it’s both one of the funniest and coolest exotic adornments Bungie has ever designed for a weapon. It’s currently in the in-game Eververse store for real money currency, Silver. It will run 700 Silver players, which is roughly $ 6.99 in real money. But it’s possible that Bungie could sell the in-game freemium currency ornament, Bright Dust, later in the season.
