In Destiny 2: Beyond the Light, the campaign ends and various NPCs fill you with quests. The Exo Stranger questline is Born in darkness, and exists to help you hone your Stasis powers with Aspects and Fragments.

To choose your first aspect – different for each class – you must complete the first stage of Born in Darkness to collect the Control aspect quest. For Aspect of Control you must find and destroy five entropic shards located around Europe. These items are not on the map, but we do know where at least five of them are.

Note that to destroy these entropic shards, you must have the Handle of Exotic Salvation in your possession. To get it, you will need to complete the Stasis Prototype quest.

Entropy Shard 1 – Asterion Abyss

Meet at Asterion Abyss and climb to the top of the L-shaped Vex creation.

The Shard is located in the northern part of the structure, standing out in the open. Pull on it with the salute handle to break it.

The second entropic flake is also in the Asterion Abyss, hidden inside the Lost Sector of the Hidden Void.

Kill the boss, then look up

Enter the Lost Sector of the Hidden Void and make your way to the end. Defeat the boss and open the chest. But before you leave the boss room, look up and into the orange light. There is a hole in the top of the ceiling where you will find an entropic shard. Shoot the fragment with the handle of salvation to destroy it.

Entropy Shard 3 – Cadmus Ridge

The third entropic shard is in Cadmus ridge, just outside the Braytech area on Europa.

The Shard sits against a wall of ice where a group of Fallen like to spawn. Shoot it with the handle of salvation to destroy it.

Entropic Shard 4 – Riis-Reborn Approach

This entropic fragment is quite a hike. Go up to Riis-Reborn approach until you find the second double lift – through the Stasis gate, Eramis escapes during the campaign.

After going up the elevator, near the teleporter, walk to the back of the stairs. The entropic glow lurks under the stairs. Use the hilt of salvation to destroy it.

Entropic Shard 5 – Technocratic Iron

From where Entropic Shard 4 is, take the teleporter and stay left

This Shard Entropic Shard is even further out of a landing zone than Entropic Shard 4. Follow the directions for Entropic Shard 4 to reach the stairs in the Riis-Reborn approach. Follow the stairs and take the teleporter.

When you finally reach the arena, look near the pillars for the fifth entropic shard.

Once out of the teleporter, follow the path but Keep Left. You will know you are going in the right direction when you see “Technocratic iron»Flashes on your screen. Keep following this path until you reach an arena and a dead end. The entropic shard floats next to one of the pillars. Shoot it with the handle of salvation to destroy it.

Once you’ve completed Aspect of Control, follow the objective marker through the teleporter and into Eramis’ room with the giant Crux of Darkness. Contact him to get your first aspect.

There are nine entropic fragments across Europe. We’ll add the rest once we’ve had a chance to track them down.
