Players have checked out Destiny 2: Beyond Light en masse. Bungie’s latest FPS game expansion took the top two spots on this week’s Steam Best Sellers list, with another entry in the top ten.

According to the latest charts, Destiny 2: Beyond Light Deluxe Edition brought in the most revenue on the Valve store this week, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Season Pass attracted the second most. Somewhere in the list, the regular version comes in seventh place. Rounding out the top five, the Valve Index VR kit is third, Football Manager 2021 is fourth, and the hit horror game Phasmophobia is fifth. Remember, this is based on revenue, not copies sold.

Phasmophobia had been in number one for four straight weeks, beating pre-orders of Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and more. A decline was inevitable, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light was always going to be a sales giant. Among us, the seventh biggest game of the last quarter, has fallen a bit behind, after having kept third place for life for weeks, now out of the top five in eighth. The social deduction game still performs well on Twitch, alongside Phasmophobia, so the two will likely stay in the mix as more and more hits of the year roll out.

As with any major expansion, players struggled to enter Destiny 2 for the first day or two of Beyond Light. The servers now seem to have settled in, allowing everyone to experience the new content.
