Live here at GuardianConthere is no tonne of destiny News was made on the show, although I still appreciated Bungie's presence. Notably, seeing Big Show go out and distribute the world's first raid belts was perhaps the highlight of the show so far.
But in real terms, the community wants to see, there was a couple. One was a rather neat video some of the new and old lunar areas that will arrive at Shadowkeep, mainly focused on the terrifying Hive Fortress itself. But Bungie also introduced Shadowkeep's first official exotic here, although they did it in a strange and cool way.
The exotic new has no name, but it is a machine gun that Bungie did not deploy on the screen, but with a new accessory that they made. Bungie has had countless destiny weapons converted into real versions over the years, and a ton of them are on display at the show. But I think this is the first time a model is used to debut with a new exotic.
It's a strange revelation for what is absolutely one of the strangest concepts destiny weapon that I saw. At first glance, this sounds like a slightly normal submachine gun, but once you open it, you can see that the thing is fueled by some kind of giant bug trapped in amber.
I have no idea what to think about it, and Bungie's representative was deliberately shy about the weapon that he says, half of Bungie herself Had not seen it yet until today. At two months from Shadowkeep, I suppose there are still some aspects of this gun and still others under development, but I imagine that they are n & # 39; They have not really chosen a name yet, because I do not know why they would want to keep these weapons. it's a secret if they had one.
He would not answer either if the shot is fired at the bees, which is unfortunate.
This is an interesting concept because it seems that you will not even see the bug it contains unless you reload, which is a curious design decision. Obviously, the only thing a bug trapped in amber makes me think is Jurassic Parkwhatever this source of food is, it may be millions of years old. Regarding the type of bug, I'm not a bug-ologist (I do not know the actual word), but it sounds like a cross between a mosquito and a wasp, and is maybe a little smaller than the length. from my hand.
We do not know if this weapon is the result of a quest or simply a new random fall in the Shadowkeep extension. Forsaken arrived with 13 new exotics, where only about 6 drops were random, while the others were related to quests. Even though Shadowkeep is a smaller extension than Forsaken, I think maybe 8-10 exotic weapons? Not sure.
Anyway, it's a wild concept for a gun and an interesting way to get it started here at GuardianCon. Bungie tends to tease many of her exotic species in advance, so we may see Bug Gun appear here in a trailer in the future.
I hope it pulls bees.
Oh, here is a video of Fireteam Chat who took the weapon if you want to see it in action:
