Destiny 2: Season of Opulence will allow players to customize weapon drops

Earlier this week, Bungie revealed that players could choose their own rewards in the next match. Destiny 2: Fashion Season opulence, Menagerie. This week's Bungie blog clarified how this system works.

When the season of opulence begins, players will have a new quest to enter the Leviathan ship above the planetoid Nessus. Players must complete the quest before they can begin the new raid, Crown of Sorrows. To complete this quest starting, players can instantly wear all their characters at 690 power points – exactly where they need to be to start the season of opulence. But the quest also rewards a new key element of the season: the opulence chalice.

The chalice is an object shared by all keepers of the same account. Players can use it to create their own weapons. They can even use powerful runes to determine certain properties of the weapon, such as the Masterwork stats used by the weapon.

Once the players have the chalice, they can earn runes from weekly bonuses, weekly chests on the new Nessus Barge location, and use a rewards that reward normal daily runes such as Strikes, Crucible or Gambit. Once the players have enough runes, they can insert them into their chalice before starting the menagerie activity. Bungie has not yet clarified what is the menagerie, other than that it would be an activity done with six players.

Once the players have completed a Menagerie round, they will earn a new Rune-based reward that they have inserted into their opulence chalice, which is customizable and scalable. To improve their chalice, players will need a new motto called Imperial.

Players can win Imperials by completing weekly bonuses, Triumphs, or using a consumable that allocates Imperials to activities. Players can also use their Imperial to enhance their chalice with a benefit that helps them gain more Imperial through play list activities such as Strikes, Crucible and Gambit.

Players can use their Imperial to unlock benefits in the order of their choice. Bungie gave three examples of benefits that players can choose from the very beginning:

  • Additional runes location for additional customization of objects
  • Earn more runes and different varieties of runes
  • Earn powerful rewards from the menagerie

Bungie gave an example of how this process works: "If you wanted to get a random draw of a" Beloved "sniper rifle with the Mastery trait, you'd use a rune of jubilation, a red rune, and a purple rune. This rune configuration is your freebie. "

The beloved sniper they are referring to seems to be a remake of destinyLDR 5001, visible in the picture above. In addition to the configuration of this sniper, the community will have to work together to discover the runes table for the rest of the weapons.
