Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen gets new Exotic bow, Exotic armor

[ad_1]

destiny 2Season of the Chosen has finally arrived, and Guardians can venture into the world of Destiny to collect powerful new gear. In addition to some legendary weapons and armor, Season of the Chosen adds at least five new Exotics – although one is still hidden.

Here’s a look at the four Exotics already in Season of the Chosen, and everything we know about the fifth.

The divination of Ticuu

Ticuu’s Divination is the new weapon in the Season of the Chosen Season Pass.

Its main exotic benefit is the sacred flame. When Guardians fire arrows from the hip, they become pursuit missiles that lodge in enemies. If an enemy dies with these Holy Flame Arrows lodged within them, they explode, igniting other Holy Flame Arrows nearby.

Players can also manually detonate arrows with the Arrows of Causation perk. When aiming down, players can detonate any arrows they hit, triggering a chain reaction. If players time the shot on their arrows perfectly, the Holy Flame detonation is even more powerful.

Cuirass of the Falling Star for Titans is the highly anticipated Thundercrash Exotic. Its primary perk, Glorious Charge, “dramatically increases” Thundercrash’s impact damage. Players will also gain a Superior Shield and can increase its duration by traveling further with their Thundercrash.

We won’t know how good this is until we can get our hands on it, but it looks like it might be the Celestial Nighthawk without the Titan missile code.

Omnioculus

Omnioculus for Hunters seems to be a powerful tool for difficult content, like Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its perk, Beyond the Veil, gives Void Hunters a second charge of Smoke Bomb and reduces damage taken while invisible. This damage resistance also extends to allies when they make them invisible. Hunters also refund melee energy when rendering allies invisible.

This Warlock Exotic also seems to be a powerful tool for Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its perk, absorption cells, causes kills with weapons that have an element corresponding to your subclass to grant a super energy bonus. If your Super is full, these kills instead give you bonus damage for the given item.

It’s potentially a powerful tool for Solar Warlocks in difficult content like Raids and Nightfalls – just as Well of Radiance Warlocks tends to hold onto their Supers until they need them.

Exotic Quest Tex Mechanica

On the Season of the Chosen website, Bungie teased players with a “redacted” exotic quest entry under the gear section. The quest also doesn’t appear on the Season of the Chosen roadmap.

The quest icon shows what the Tex Mechanica logo – the weapon maker behind The Chaperone, Last Word, and Huckleberry – looks like. It also looks like there’s Stasis around the logo.

We don’t know what this weapon is or when it will appear. But since Bungie hasn’t even given us a name, there’s reason to believe it’s a weapon we’ve heard of before. That and the Tex Mechanica connection leaves some to speculate that this is The First Curse, a powerful PvP hand cannon from the original Destiny. Although information from a Destiny data miner suggests this is an entirely new weapon.

Players will have to wait and see what this weapon is, but Bungie press footage links an abandoned ship in space with the next Exotic Quest.
